Helmut Dencker

Born 1944 in Husum (Germany).  First musical education at the "Klaerschen Konservatorium" in Hamburg.  Studies of churchmusic at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck from 1968 to 1971.  After several years of experience as churchmusican in Northern Germany studies of composition with Ivan Eröd and Andrzej Dobrowolski at the University of Music and  Dramatic Arts in Graz (Austria). 1975 diploma in composition  with distinction. 

In the 70's and 80's intensive occupation with informations aesthetics, French structuralism and electronic music, the realization of numerous software projects and computer music languages. Among other things EMC-Compiler, Algorithm Processing Language (AMPL) and NOTRAN for instrumental compositions.

Since 1976 teaching assignments music theory at the University of  Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz.
